Is AG phasing out the Twins?

I am noticing that the Twins collection has gone really down, they only have 4 outfits, two of which are Holiday outfits and Halloween outfits. And also at the moment and not many accessories. Are they going to intorduce new otufits for them? And they have been many of their outfits that have been retired. [img]eek.gif[/img]

I am thinking the same thing that you are. Matel AG seems to give a new thing 2 years to become a sucess - if not it is phased out. The twins collection is small, nothing new has been added and twin items are often on the sale pages. Very SAD. The twins sare so cute.

I hope we are wrong.

I wonder if the Twins are less popular than AG had hoped? They don't get big $$$ on e-Bay. I think that AG might very well be phasing them out. I think plain old, bald Bitty might just be more popular and less expensive to make.

we have the brunette twins, we got them as soon as they came out. Diana loves them. She thinks they are the big bro and sis of Bitty. I have all their outfits except the christmas ones and snowsuits, only because I didn't care for either of them. Our Katie always wears Bitty's clothes too, but I feel bad for our Nikolas, he doesn't have much. We have the trike but not the wagon or stroller.

I hope the introduce something else soon as well.

That would be really sad! I don't have the twins, but seeing them inspired me to put a wig on Bitty. I can understand parents not liking the twins for the simple reason of price--all the outfits had to be bought in duplicate, so Bitty probably looked more tempting. If they do phase them out, I would hope they'd at least offer Bitties with the two new face molds and hair options, but maybe as single babies.

I hope they don't, [img]frown.gif[/img] , they're so cute, and I love the prince/princess outfit set. I wonder if they'll even be around long enough to still be there when I go to AGPLA (at the end of the year), as I was hoping to look at them in person....Or maybe this way, the dolls, themselves, will go on sale, [img]wink.gif[/img] .

I was really hoping they'd make an African-American and Asian-American set. If I ever decided to get one, it'd probably be the Asian-American ones, (if they make them, of course).

I think what they have now for the BT are nice for a whole year collection. Playdate set is very spring, Red and Blue is obviously 4th of July-ish, so Summery, Royalty is costumey, so Fall, And Festive Plaid is Christmasy. Newcomers to Bitty could probably be happy with those outfits, but anyone who already has them hasn't gotten anything new in awhile. [img]frown.gif[/img]

I bet they're phasing them out. The only things that seem to be a continual success are the American Girls and Bitty Babies, everything else tanks.

I love the twins but I wish they and thier outfits were sold seperatly. Sometimes I only like half of the outfits and stuff, and don't want both of them. But rather than get one I don't want and have to sell it, I just pass on both.

I think if the twins were availible like Bitty where you pick boy or girl, and features, they'd be much more popular.

I want only the boy but I am not willing to buy both to get him.(and then continually buy 2 sets of outfits to get his clothes)

Oh I hope they're not retired! I have the brunette twins and 1 outfit and I think they're so much cuter than Bitty because of their real hair. They are the baby brother and sis to my other dolls.

I think that Cami is correct. I also wanted either Asian or African American BT. I gave up waiting and bought wigs for both types of dolls. I then bought two Asian Bitty Babies and two African American Bitty Babies. I now have two set of BT in both races. I think that AG would do better on sales of the BT if they offered Asian, African American and Hispanic twins.
